If you love burgers, street food and lively nights that combine great food with music, Burger Fest is an event to add to your Athens itinerary this September.

Burger Fest, one of Greece’s biggest food festivals, returns to Athens for its 12th edition, bringing together food lovers and street food enthusiasts for two weekends filled with burgers, live music and plenty of festival energy. This year’s event takes place on 18–20 and 25–27 September 2026 at the Old OSY Bus Depot in Gazi, one of Athens’ most atmospheric urban venues.

Burgers, Street Food and Plenty of Choices

As you would expect, burgers are at the heart of the festival. A selection of popular burger spots will be serving their signature creations, giving visitors the chance to discover everything from classic favourites to more creative takes on one of the world’s most popular street foods.

There is plenty more to enjoy beyond the burgers, too. Visitors can pair their food with cold beer, soft drinks, cocktails and sweet treats, making Burger Fest an easy choice for a relaxed evening out with friends.

For visitors exploring Athens, it is also a great opportunity to experience a more contemporary side of the city. Gazi is known for its lively nightlife and cultural scene, and the festival brings together food, music and entertainment in one of the area’s well-known urban spaces.

Live Music and Festival Atmosphere

The food is only part of the experience. The 2026 edition features a programme of 12 live acts, adding music and entertainment to the festival across the two weekends.

Whether you are visiting Athens with friends, looking for an alternative night out or simply want to try some of the city’s burger offerings in one place, Burger Fest offers a fun way to experience Athens beyond its traditional landmarks and attractions.

Tickets cost €7, including one beer or soft drink. The festival takes place at the Old OSY Bus Depot in Gazi, at the intersection of Piraeus and Ermou Streets.

With its combination of street food, music, drinks and a lively urban setting, Burger Fest is set to bring plenty of energy to Athens on two September weekends. If you are in the city during the festival dates, it is an easy-going addition to your Athens plans.
