At the south part of Parthenon we find the so-called “Centauromachy”, which was dismantled from the Parthenon on May 15, 2012 by the workshops of the Acropolis Restoration Service. On June 14, 2012 Centauromachy was transfered to the Museum’s sculpture conservation workshop in the Acropolis Museum. Followed by an intensive restoration program in maintenance workshop, which included cleaning of deposits, fixation and agglutination fragments, gaps and cracks additions and also the design and construction of a support base. The panel was placed in the Acropolis Museum, five days after the lowering of the rock of the Acropolis, on June 19, 2012.
