3 Greek islands among top 25 by Travel and Leisure magazine

We were really happy to see 3 Greek islands among the top 25 islands from the World’s Best Awards survey by Travel and Leisure magazine.

Every year for our World’s Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe — to share their opinions on the top cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Readers rated islands according to their activities and sights, natural attractions and beaches, food, friendliness, and overall value.

1. Milos – Score: 95,50

Located in the middle of the Cycladic islands, Mílos rose from its No. 3 spot last year thanks to friendly locals who welcome visitors to explore the quaint villages (Trypiti is famous for its windmills, Plaka for its sunsets), extraordinary tavernas, and dozens of picturesque beaches that vary in color depending on whether they are formed from shells, stones, or sand.

2. Folegandros – Score: 95,47

The most impressive part of Chora village is the Castle (Kastro), which is built on the edge of the sheer cliff that reaches 200 metres. The medieval village was built to protect the residents from raids and attacks. The outer walls of the houses were built right on the cliff.

13. Santorini – Score: 89,61
