easyJet is preparing to introduce high-speed in-flight internet through a new partnership with Starlink, bringing passengers a more connected travel experience from 2027.

The airline plans to begin installing the satellite-based technology across its fleet in the first half of 2027, with the rollout expected to be completed in early 2028. The move will mark easyJet’s first introduction of in-flight internet connectivity.

What Can Passengers Expect?

Powered by Starlink, the service is designed to provide high-speed internet access, allowing passengers to browse websites, stream entertainment, use online applications and stay connected while flying.

The technology could also benefit business travellers who want to manage emails or complete tasks during their journey, as well as holidaymakers looking to check destination information or organise their onward travel before landing.

easyJet is also exploring additional digital services, including the possibility of allowing passengers to order food and drinks directly from their seats through the airline’s onboard digital platforms.

The rollout will cover the airline’s Airbus A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft. However, passengers should not expect the service to be available on every flight immediately, as installation will take place progressively across the fleet.

The airline has not yet confirmed whether the Wi-Fi will be free of charge or offered through paid packages.

A More Connected Flying Experience

The partnership reflects a wider shift in passenger expectations, with digital connectivity becoming an increasingly important part of air travel. As travellers look for greater convenience both on the ground and in the air, airlines are exploring new ways to enhance the onboard experience.

For easyJet, introducing Starlink represents a significant addition to its services, potentially making short- and medium-haul journeys more convenient for leisure and business passengers alike.

With installation scheduled to begin in 2027, the coming years will reveal how quickly the service reaches passengers across the airline’s European network.
