Looking for a fun night out in Athens? The Athens English Comedy Club is celebrating its seventh birthday on Sunday, 25 October 2026, with a special stand-up comedy show featuring local and international comedians performing entirely in English.
Hosted at Eliart Theatre in Votanikos, the birthday event marks the beginning of the club’s eighth year of bringing English-language comedy to the Greek capital. Audiences can look forward to an evening of comedic shenanigans, unexpected punchlines and plenty of laughter. And who knows? There may even be cake!
Founded in 2019, the Athens English Comedy Club is the first and only comedy club in Greece dedicated exclusively to English-language comedy. Over the years, it has welcomed more than 160 comedians from 39 countries, organising stand-up line-ups, open-mic nights, solo performances, online competitions and comedy workshops.
The club has become a popular meeting point for Athens’ international community, offering expats, visitors and English-speaking locals an opportunity to enjoy live entertainment and connect with people from different backgrounds.
Whether you’re planning a night out with friends, looking for a different date-night idea or hoping to discover Athens’ international cultural scene, this anniversary show is a great excuse to enjoy some live comedy.
