Max Brown Hotels is arriving in Athens with Max Brown Downtown, an 87-room hotel in the heart of the Greek capital. Located in the Omonia neighbourhood, the new hotel offers a relaxed approach to city stays, combining everything today’s traveller truly needs with distinctive spaces and a location that puts guests at the centre of Athenian life.

Part of Sircle Collection, Max Brown Hotels is built around the idea of experiencing each city like a local. Guided by its philosophy, “everything you need, nothing you don’t”, the brand focuses on the elements that make a stay truly special: thoughtful design, quality amenities and neighbourhoods waiting to be discovered.

Located at 25 Veranzerou Street, Max Brown Downtown features 87 rooms across five categories. Each room comes with Max Brown’s signature white linens, alongside carefully selected toiletries and bathroom products, creating a comfortable and welcoming setting to unwind after a full day exploring Athens. Some rooms also offer views across the city skyline.

Beyond the rooms, guests can unwind in the rooftop jacuzzi overlooking Mount Lycabettus, work out in the fully equipped gym or enjoy some downtime in the game room. The communal spaces provide opportunities to relax and socialise between city explorations, keeping the overall experience simple and laid-back.

Set in Omonia, one of Athens’ most central and vibrant neighbourhoods, the hotel is surrounded by historic landmarks, independent businesses and the authentic rhythm of everyday city life. From street food and small local shops to the contemporary cultural scene, every corner offers something worth discovering. With convenient access to public transport, the Acropolis, Syntagma Square and many other parts of Athens are within easy reach. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the city at your own pace, discovering favourite local spots and experiencing Athens like a local.

Getting to know the neighbourhood is also at the heart of Max Brown’s Meet Our Neighbours series, which introduces guests to local restaurants, shops and galleries through conversations with the people behind them.

With Max Brown Downtown, the brand brings its distinctive philosophy to Athens: an excellent location, all the essentials delivered with quality and care, and an entire neighbourhood waiting to be explored.
