Planning your next Greek getaway? Travelling from Belgium to Greece is about to become even easier.
Transavia is expanding its network from Brussels Airport, with Thessaloniki and Heraklion joining its routes for summer 2027. The new connections will give Belgian travellers more options for a direct trip to Greece, whether they are looking for a lively city escape or a relaxing holiday in Crete.
Thessaloniki is a great choice for travellers seeking a mix of history, culture, waterfront walks, nightlife and one of Greece’s best food scenes. Meanwhile, Heraklion provides an ideal starting point for discovering Crete, from beautiful beaches and charming villages to ancient sites and local cuisine.
The expansion comes as Transavia strengthens its presence at Brussels Airport. The airline, which first began operating from Brussels in 2022, is now adding a fourth aircraft and a fully operational local crew base, allowing it to further grow its network.
More new routes are also on the way. From 14 December 2026, Transavia will launch a Brussels–Porto connection operating three times a week, while Ponta Delgada in the Azores will also be added to the network for summer 2027.
With more direct connections between Brussels and popular holiday destinations, Belgian travellers will have even more choice when planning their next European escape.
