Greece is once again proving why it remains one of Europe’s favourite summer destinations, with five Greek destinations ranking among the continent’s top 10 summer spots, according to traveller reviews.
The ranking, compiled by Europe Private Tours, analysed 60 of Europe’s most popular destinations based on positive Tripadvisor reviews. Destinations were assessed across categories including things to do, accommodation and food and drink experiences.
Greece emerged as the standout country, with destinations from Santorini, Crete, Mykonos and Rhodes all making the top 10.
Five Greek Destinations Make the List
Imerovigli in Santorini claimed an impressive second place, recognised for its spectacular caldera views, whitewashed buildings and unforgettable sunsets.
In third place, Chania highlighted the appeal of Crete, combining a picturesque Venetian harbour and historic old town with excellent food and easy access to some of the island’s most beautiful beaches.
Mykonos ranked sixth, continuing its reputation as one of Greece’s most popular international summer destinations, thanks to its beaches, vibrant nightlife and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
In seventh place, Lindos in Rhodes offers a different kind of island experience, where a charming traditional village meets crystal-clear waters and the dramatic Acropolis of Lindos.
Completing the Greek presence in the top 10, Rethymno came in tenth place. Its atmospheric old town, historic architecture, beaches and distinctly Cretan character make it a favourite for travellers looking for more than a traditional beach holiday.
